Cassandra nasce a Firenze, il 18 agosto 1986. Sin dalla tenera età mostra la sua passione per alcuni dei grandi esponenti della musica italiana (Giorgia, Mina, Mia Martini) e della musica internazionale (come Celine Dion, Mariah Carey e Whitney Houston). Nel 2002 decide di mostrare le sue particolari doti vocali in occasione del Concorso canoro Debutto, organizzato all’interno del Centro Commerciale I Gigli di Firenze, classificandosi al 1° posto. Da quel momento non perde occasione per dimostrare le sue qualità, partecipando nel 2003 ad un secondo concorso, Una voce per Sanremo, e conquistando ancora una volta un 1° posto. Nel 2005 e 2006 tenta l’ingresso nel talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi, ed anche se in entrambi gli anni non riesce nell’intento, non demorde e raggiunge l’obiettivo un anno dopo, nel 2007. Nel 2008 vince la borsa di studio presso la scuola di canto del maestro Luca Jurman e partecipa al Tour di Amici 7, toccando tutte le principali città italiane. Nello stesso anno ha l’opportunità di esibirsi, al fianco dello stesso maestro Luca Jurman, nel celeberrimo locale milanese Blue Note. Inoltre, contando sul particolare e bellissimo rapporto diretto che la lega ai suoi fans, decide di organizzare un tour di incontri in molte città italiane, spesso facendosi affiancare da alcuni dei ragazzi della sua stessa edizione di Amici, e riscuotendo enorme successo sia con cover dei più importanti artisti italiani ed internazionali, sia con il suo primo brano, Famelica (contenuto nel cd Ti Brucia, prodotto da Amici di Maria De Filippi). Attualmente fa parte del cast del Musical opera Bernadette – Il miracolo di Lourdes, presentato in anteprima mondiale il 22 dicembre 2008, al Teatro Sistina di Roma.
Dal 6 marzo e fino al 5 giugno 2009 conduce, insieme a Rosaria Ferrito, Venerdì Rosa, su Radio Alcamo Centrale.
Il 5 maggio 2009 esce il suo primo EP dal titolo Gocce in mare aperto, composto da 7 brani scritti da F. Morettini e L. Angelosanti; Cassandra è autrice del brano Un unico battito, mentre il brano Dischi e poesie è scritto da Massimiliano Varrese.

Cassandra was born on Aug 18th 1986 in Florence (Italy) to an Italian father and American mother. Since she was a little girl she demonstrated a great passion for singing; her favorite Italian interpreters being Mina, Giorgia, and the late Mia Martini as well as international singers such as Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Barbra Streisand, and Mariah Carey. Cassandra belted out songs wherever and whenever always ready to give an improvised performance! In 2002 she began to take her natural talent seriously and competed around Tuscany in different competitions and talent shows for local TV. stations. Her first big win at 16 yrs old being on “Debutto” local talent show, she placed 1st as best new talent of the year. Cassandra spent all her free time competing in various singing venues and performing at clubs and local events. In 2003 she went on to win the prestigious contest “A Voice for Sanremo”. In 2005 and 2006 she auditioned for “Amici di Maria De Filippi” (aired on national T.V. channel 5) an Italian version of American Idol with a reality twist comparable to “Fame” where contestants are chosen to enter the program and face challenges in order to hold their position within the “school”. Even though both years she made it to the first episode of the program, she is not chosen to enter. Not giving up she decides to try again in 2007 and is chosen to become part of the program. At the time of her elimination she is 4th placed, her popularity sky rockets as soon as she is out of the “school” She immediately is invited to perform at BLUE NOTE, an important International music club in Milan Italy where she performs live with her mentor and teacher from “Amici di Maria De Filippi”, Luca Jurman. She is also granted a scholarship at the Luca Jurman Music School. This is just the beginning of her popularity. From May 2008 to March 2009 Cassandra tours live with the cast of Amici di Maria De Filippi in the “AMICI 2007 Tour” performing in the most important Italian cities. She is adored by her fan club with which she cultivates a very particular relationship. Her followers, the “Cassandrini”, love her for her sweet disposition and down to earth personality. She has had enormous success singing international cover songs as well as with her first single “Famelica” contained in the CD “Ti Brucia” produced by Amici di Maria De Filippi. On May 5th 2009 Cassandra came out with her first solo CD titled “Gocce in Mare Aperto” which contains 6 original songs written by Luca Angelosanti and Francesco Morettini, a 7th song “Ora Che” produced by the label “Azzura Music”. The CD debuts at 34th place Itunes Italy and 49th FIMI Federation of the Italian Music Industry polls. “Gocce in Mare Aperto” within a few weeks has sold approx 15,000 copies with a notable following of young fans as well appealing to an older crowd. Cassandra has initiated May concerts adhering to charity causes; on June 6th she has scheduled a concert together with Giuseppe Salsetta, to aid the Abruzzo Italy Earthquake Victims. Cassandra is also a cast member of the touring musical ”Bernadette-the Miracle of Lourdes”, she played Bernadette on grand opening night at the “Sistine Theatre” in Rome Italy. Between concerts and promotional events Cassandra also co-hosts weekly “Venerdi Rosa” (Pink Friday) on “Radio Alcamo Centrale” in Sicily.
